This is my late great aunt, Sao Ven Tip. Her name means `Lady Magic Mirror in the Palace of the Million Umbrellas'. In the background is Kengtung Palace which was built by my Great Grandfather, Sao Kawng Kiao Interleng, the Sao Hpa Long (Royal Prince) of Kengtung in Indian style after he visited India in 1903. The Burmese military regime demolished the palace in 1991, and built a cheap looking hotel in it's place.
